Maybe we’re all just virtual constructs of our souls, playing a game where we cannot break the speed of light or defy gravity, but have anomalies like UFOs and angels and anything else that goes against the programming rules of the “universe.”
Hell, at one time, my theory of LOST was that they were all trapped in virtual reality simulation.
It’s amazing that science has found things that defy our experience of reality, but society is slow to catch up so it still has strong beliefs about what reality is– like that it exists outside our minds for example. Science can’t prove this!
I heard an interesting statement the other day that all material things are just the universe becoming conscious. So you have an empty void, but then this void has some need to have presence (?) so it bonds itself together to form a star, a rock, etc. (scientists are still wondering why objects can hold together at all).
The whole idea of ‘being one with the universe’ that spiritual people seek is having an awareness that there is consciousness (virtual reality), it seems. So being conscious of everything it does, says, thinks, feels- via us- is the universe’s highest goal for itself. The void wants to know itself. That’s why your index card exercise is a great idea- you are being conscious of your consciousness- which is perhaps superior to you creating novel.
Something like that. Sorry for the lengthy comments. -e
No problem on the lengthy comments.
I’ve never thought of the void wanting to know itself. I like that idea.
Yeah, the index cards have been helping. It seems to really make my thoughts seem more concrete, which in turn allows me to truly confront them and move past them.
Everything is a lot more stranger than we would ever believe, I think.
